Missoula Earns 7th Straight Win Friday Over Great Falls
5-Run Rally Leads PaddleHeads Past Voyagers

MISSOULA, MT- The Missoula PaddleHeads welcomed the Great Falls Voyagers to Allegiance Field on Friday night in the first matchup between these teams this season. Riding a 6-game winning streak Missoula entered the matchup with momentum with their offense leading the way. A big rally in the early innings got Missoula out of the gates quickly en route to the lead. Thanks in large part to another solid effort from Tom Reisinger, Missoula stayed in front the rest of the way.
A 2nd inning rally put the PaddleHeads in front early by a 5-1 margin. Missoula also led by a six run cushion after the 4th inning came to an end. Reisinger made sure the PaddleHeads kept the lead in his time on the hill delivering his 3rd straight quality outing. This combination led Missoula to a comfortable 9-5 win on Friday night to open this season series with the Voyagers. The PaddleHeads also claimed their 7th straight victory with the win on Friday.
Rookie outfielder Vincent Temesvary put Great Falls in front early to get the game started. The Center fielder sent a line drive into center field to knock home the first run of the game to put the Voyagers in the lead first. Temesvary finished 2-for-4 in his at-bats in his first game ever played in Missoula. After a quiet 1st inning offensively, Missoula's bats came to life.
A 5-run rally put Missoula in control in the bottom of the 2nd. 10 batters came to the plate in the inning. The PaddleHeads had pressure put on throughout the inning in a stretch of at-bats with the bases loaded. Jeremy Piatkiewicz took advantage of his opportunity with the highlight of the inning hitting a grand slam to left field. This big swing from the short stop gave Missoula a 5-1 lead.
The PaddleHeads put the pressure on once again in the 4th, loading the bases. Derek Andiarena, and Enzo Apodaca both picked up RBIs in the inning as the PaddleHeads lead expanded to 7-1. Apodaca was a solid contributor throughout finishing 2-for-4. Andiarena also chimed in finishing 1-for-3. This offensive production proved to be more than enough for Reisinger.
The right-hander picked up the win for his effort over 6 innings. Reisinger only allowed 2 earned runs while striking out 6 batters in the outing. For his efforts, the Pennsylvania native earned his 4th win of the season. Reisinger has been on a roll in his last 3 starts having allowed only 3 earned runs in those outings. The former Athletics farmhand holds a 1.35 ERA in those starts in 20 innings pitched. Reisinger's outing combined with a solid offensive output paved the way to another PaddleHeads win.
Missoula (28-22) moved their 2nd half record to 4-0 with their 7th consecutive victory Friday over Great Falls (18-34). Game 2 of this series will feature a fun night at the ballpark with a postgame fireworks display to add to the excitement.
