Batting Practice Banter With Mark Timmins
A Conversation With The PaddleHeads Franchise Player
The friendly confines of Alligence Field Ogren Park have welcomed the Missoula PaddleHeads home for the first time fresh off a 12-game road trip in 3 different cities. The PaddleHeads have taken on the challenge of the Boise Hawks this week. Along with Missoula, Boise has also been off to a good start this season with both teams coming into Wednesday with an identical 8-5 record so far this season. A lot has been made of this being a new look team for the PaddleHeads with a large number of rookies on the roster this season. A player that is an exception to the rule is reliever Mark Timmins.
The Nebraska native has ties to Missoula that date back to 2022 when he made his professional debut out of the University of Nebraska-Omaha. Since then Timmins has been a fixture in the PaddleHeads bullpen appearing in over 80 games in his career. Things haven't occurred without challenges however with that thought being highlighted by a season ending achilles injury suffered last season. In 2026 Timmins not only made a return from that injury but also did so as Missoula's 'Franchise Player.'
Timmins joined Cam Thompson, and Kam Willman as players that have been chosen as Franchise Players in team history, opening the door to another return to Missoula. Timmins will look to continue to be a fixture in the PaddleHeads bullpen once again this season as a team leader on and off the field.

The PaddleHeads (8-5) continue a 3-game series with the Hawks (8-5) in game 2 Wednesday evening. First pitch From Allegiance Field is scheduled for 6:35 p.m. If you cannot make it to the ballpark, tune in to hear all the action on ESPN Missoula 102.9 F.M.
